Following the Rosé was the Crianza.
The nose is all Tempranillo. If this is a blend, the Tempranillo dominates.
Black fruits, mostly blackberries on the nose. There is a sense of oranges here which Tristan J picked up immediately. Liquorice and sweet spices sit in the background. If there is oak here, it is certainly American. It is a bigger wine than I expected, but not clumsy. Big dark fruits on the palate, more liquorice and plenty of acidic structure to keep all firm in place. A long lingering finish with fine integrated tannins. Quality.
Red wine of the day for some, number two for me.
It was a great partner to the roasted lamb.
