“The aim of life is to live, and to live means to be aware, joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware.”
Henry Miller
Up early for a run. It is a warm morning and it is tough going.
I can’t be bothered with breakfast. We walk to the town square and I order a coffee that comes out with more milk than a milkshake.
The drive is reasonable. Uneventful.
We arrive in Bad Füssinf in the late afternoon. The wine is warm so we grab some beers from the fridge. One, then two…
The wine is chilled, and we open a bottle to kill some time before dinner.

We walk to a nearby restaurant, the same as the last time we were here.
KIRCHAWIRT does good food and large, cold beers.
We start with a beef broth and a salad of salmon.
For mains, venison and a pok schnitzel.

More beer.
On the way home, we come across a garden of peonies.

I know I am drunk. It was a 1 km walk to dinner and a 5 km walk home.
Home, bed. The room is spinning.
“We all look for happiness, but without knowing where to find it: like drunkards who look for their house, knowing dimly that they have one”
Voltaire
