“And I rose
In rainy autumn
And walked abroad in a shower of all my days…”– Dylan Thomas
We slept with the windows open. No air conditioning and no fan.
Waking late to a chill in the air. It rained all night.
Except for brief periods in Europe, it had been three years since we have done this.
I have missed it so much.
Lying about in bed drinking coffee, we finally decide to go to the gym.
Breakfast and then nothing to do but read until it is time for lunch.
A ride to our bakery, ANS. Neither of us feels like getting wet again, so the ponchos are pulled out.

After lunch, nothing. And time has slowed down.
I make a matcha and remember I need to call Nan.
“Tea … is a religion of the art of life.”
