“You are forgiven for your happiness and your successes only if you generously consent to share them.”
Albert Camus
It is an early start. Rachelle has a hair appointment at 9.30 am, and it is a hike to get there.
Rain is forecast, so we grab umberellas from the front desk.
Breakfast on the way at Ø.12.
They pour a decent cortado, and we both go for the porridge.

During dinner, we do a quick check on our account balances. The issue is not cash, but available cash. Transferring funds from Korea to our travel account is like a trip to the dentist. Necessary but uncomfortable and often painful.
We detour back home to grab another debit card and make the hair appointment with a minute to spare.
While Shell gets her hair fashioned, I head to nearby Pixie Coffee and Bar. I am tempted to start drinking at 9.30 am. Instead, I grab a couple of coffees while I read my book.

I get bored and head to Øbro Jagtvej Bibliotek. Read some more and get bored.
We allowed two hours for Shell’s hair. By the time I push our lunch reservation back twice, it is almost three hours before we leave.
She does look stunning; I will grant her that.
After Pǎté Pǎté last night, I am a little nervous about Omar. It comes highly recommended, but the trauma from our previous experience is significant.
Omar delivers. It is a set menu, and we order Old Fashioneds to start. After that, it is IPA and NEIPA.
We have to go by taste for the most part. First courses are some kind of creamed cheese with grapes. Smoked salmon on a herb purée. They are very complex and delicious.
After this, grilled white asparagus with radish, dressed in pomelo and lime leaf vinegar. Mushrooms on toast.
Dessert is a strawberry sorbet with a thick cream and vanilla ice cream with poached nectarines.
A great lunch, and my descriptions do not do the food justice.

Omar has an awesome vibe, and we both rate this meal as one of the best of the trip so far.
On the way home, we get a photo of Shell explaining to me how I might improve.

Shell takes a detour to a gelato shop, only a few kilometers out of the way. It is closed.
We get home, almost 20 km for the day.
I need a nap.
“Above all, do not lose your desire to walk: every day I walk myself into a state of well being and walk away from every illness. I have walked myself into my best thoughts, and I know of no thought so burdensome that one cannot walk away from it.”
Søren Kierkegaard
