I wake up and think about editing yesterday’s post. So much ranting…
We have nothing planned today, and I feel good about this.
I make some porridge, and we drink plenty of coffee.
Domaine Bohème I art de vivre is the perfect place to spend the day doing nothing.
Lunch is sandwiches, and the leftover chicken is delicious.
Podcasts and reading for the afternoon.
As 1.00 pm comes around, I start thinking about wine. Are there rules here? Rough guidelines?

We revisit the 2021 Domaine Dirler Cadé Riesling Grand Cru Searing – if anything, drinking even better than the previous evening. Citrus fruits, bone dry but hints of marmalade on the nose with wonderful minerality in the mouth. Incredible stuff.
I am finally starting to warm into Catch-22. The humour is starting to bring the book alive. Perhaps it improves the more you drink.


Meatballes and fettucine for dinner. When in Rome…
We open the 2023 Domaine Dirler Cadé Pinot Noir to go with dinner. Either we drink the wine too fast or dinner is taking far to long to prepare. We have no wine for dinner.
