Pressure from the editing team (Shell) and the fan base regarding posting more content.
Shell seems to think that an in depth look at some of the wines we drink might have appeal.
Personally, I was thinking about discussing some of the books I have been reading in more detail.
Shell believes reading is a dying endeavour, which seems a little dramatic, and wine consumption is on the increase. I fail to see the relevance when the reader base is single figures.
I sometimes feel like a wanker when I talk about wine, but is there much difference between a wine bore and a glorified librarian?
“All our best men are laughed at in this nightmare land.”

Unless we are on holidays, the banality of our daily existence hardly justifies a post each week. I doubt I could muster a second post for the Grind without putting everyone into a coma.
Maybe I should not pigeon hole myself one way or the other and just see what comes of a mid week musing? Books, wine, philosophy, or even just a general rant might be the path forward.
Or will my predilection for laziness see the death of the midweek post before it gains any traction?
I feel more than comfortable letting the fan base down if it means doing less.
“The fools were called wise, and the wise were stoned. Men who worked did not get enough to eat, and the men who did not work ate too much.”
Jack London
I am getting old, and there are books that need reading.
