“How about if I sleep a little bit longer and forget all this nonsense”
Franz Kafka
I sleep and sleep.
I slept through the night. When dawn broke through the curtains, I went back to sleep. When Shell held me, I went back to sleep. Dreamless, deep sleep.
I can’t remember sleeping like this.
“Sleep turns over
and opens her other eye
to the stars still hanging on the sky’s big coat.”
Joanne Kyger
With the cool weather, our running clothes did not dry. We skip a run. I am surprised at how disappointed I am.
Breakfast and many coffees.
As we eat, Shell mentions that cold meats are not for breakfast, eggs are for breakfast.

We take a walk and stumble across a rose garden. There is no green space in Bad Füssing without colour.

We open our last bottle of Alsace – the Hengst Vineyard Grand Cru Riesling.
The wine runs out so we grab a couple of beers from downstairs and then to dinner.
Pork schnitzel for Shell, I go with the pulled ox burger.
Dessert is apricot filled dumplings and a pastry dish I cannot pronounce, both very good.

Home to bed.
Budapest tomorrow.
